Browns Film Breakdown Morning Newsletter: 10/28/2024
Welcome to a new concept from BFB delivered for your enjoyment each morning.
Those wins feels pretty good, am I right? It’s easy to forget in the midst of misery, known as a prolonged losing streak, just how good winning NFL games can feel heading into your work week. That is the space we are living in today, my friends. Not just any Monday, but rather a VICTORY MONDAY!
As I walk the path of building a website something I want us to get better at is delivering on expectations. You folks, as loyal followers and supporters of this site, have an expectation for content and rightfully so. I have been working on how best to deliver that to you and that will probably never stop. Through trial and error I have landed on a few spots you can now expect content each day. The podcast will always be there for you and the new Morning Newsletter you see here will always be there each and every day at 7:00AM EST. You will also get something around lunch time near about 11:00AM EST and perhaps some afternoon content when the Browns provide us something worthwhile around 3:00PM.
If you are mapping your days for Browns content from BFB then now you know. And half of life is just about knowing more. That is what we will aim to do with this Morning Newsletter — give you something new to know. This Newsletter won’t be over-saturated with links to click on or anything useless but rather something small, concise, and meaningful that has to do with the Browns each morning. Topics will vary but normally it’ll be something I watched on film review, or something I noticed about the next opponent, or a college player I think you should know ahead of the off-season. Just a piece of information I think is worth your time and definitely won’t waste your time. That is what you can expect. And with a nice and direct link to your daily podcast as well.
So, let’s get on with it.
Sunday evenings following the game is pure chaos. From writing, editing video, and collecting snap count data hastily for Game Notes to jumping right to our Post-Game show, it’s non-stop. Then Monday morning brings the All-22 and it takes time to consume that new piece of evidence. Time and focus. For these Monday drops of the Newsletter I’ll try to hit on something from the TV view as best I can.
Today’s piece of information that matters comes from the first Browns offense possession and it has some meaning behind how this Browns’ offense evolves away from Kevin Stefanski and into what Ken Dorsey will try to make it.
Let’s focus on this key 3rd and 5.
There’s a lot going on here. The play the Browns eventually call gets blown up, “so what’s the big deal” you might be asking. Well, let me tell you this here is a very big deal.
