Browns Trade Up for Quarterback Shedeur Sanders with 144th Overall Pick
The move is a big swing at the position and likely concludes their 2025 NFL Draft.

The Browns made the surprise move of the 2025 NFL Draft on two separate occasions. First moving the second overall pick to Jacksonville, and now by trading two of their late selections for pick 144 where they have selected Colorado quarterback Shedeur Sanders.
The Browns moved their final two selections to make the pick possible likely ending their draft following the selection. Sanders slide down draft boards was the talk of the event so far as his name was connected throughout the process all the way back into the first round. It was a long process for Sanders and his family before hearing his name called.
Sanders is the well-known son of NFL Hall-of-Famer and current Colorado coach Deion Sanders. He has been coached all along the way by his father through high school, Jackson State, and now Colorado. He enters a busy quarterback room in Cleveland filled with two offseason acquisitions and Dillon Gabriel who the team pick 94th overall last night.
