Training Camp Notes: The Buzz Around Mike Hall Jr. Is Getting Louder
The rookie defensive tackle has been turning heads all camp and Sunday's session in Berea was nothing different
It was good to have the Browns in Berea again. Sure, training camp was underway but the only thing connecting the fans to the team was grainy videos on Twitter (not calling it X) and photos from the rolling hills of West Virginia.
We have to see them to believe it’s real again. The real returned on Sunday as the Browns made their CrossCountry Mortgage Campus debut for the 2024 season in front of a packed house. The vibes were immaculate and it felt like football season again, let me tell you.
What caught my eye, well, my ear, before the session even started was a reference to Aaron Donald. Any time you hear the now-retired All-Pro’s name you definitely perk up as an analyst. That is not a name that gets thrown around and justifiably so. From casual fans, sure, but coming from an experienced and successful NFL veteran in Za’Darius Smith — that means something.
