Without direct statement, it appears Browns quarterback relationship with Deshaun Watson is over

The person will linger through the years but the quarterback role is going to belong to someone else.

Andrew Berry spent time with the media today in his usual format following the culmination of the season. This one felt bigger with a plethora of important decisions looming in the months ahead. None of those decisions is as important as what the Browns will do with their quarterback position as they work to undo their damage from the Deshaun Watson acquisition.

Berry notified the media at the start of the session that Watson suffered a “setback” in his recovery process. While there is little confirmation on the timeline adjustment this will have for Watson’s recovery, it certainly isn’t good news for the quarterback battling back from one of the sport’s toughest injuries.
